Our doors are now open for all conference and events!
We are thrilled to announce that our doors are finally reopening and welcoming all events back once again. Whether you are looking for full horse power for an automotive launch, reconnecting with your team or even to embrace the Summer feel, we can help!
During this uncertain time Newbury Racecourse understands the current concerns in the event industry and how, more than ever, safety and security is a priority. We want to reassure our event bookers and delegates that their wellbeing is our main concern when they have their event with us.
The benefit of having a site that is Newbury Racecourse, is the expansive space on offer. Not only do we have acres of outdoor grounds that can cater for all bespoke events, we also have large indoor areas that benefit to hold the larger events safely.
With the recommencement of racing now in place, Newbury Racecourse has been working on the logistical and operational plans for the site to cater for large amounts of people in a safe environment. The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) approved these safety measures hence why Newbury was selected as one of the first racecourses in the country to hold racing behind closed doors. These measures have been successful and show efficiency of controlling people within our space.
Below are some of the key measures that will be in place for future events:
- Social distancing compliance
- One-way systems
- Guest arrivals and departures
- Hand sanitiser stations
- Natural air circulation
- Digital and printed signage across site
- Safety screens
- Event space capacities
- Enhanced cleaning services
With hybrid technology also in place we can ensure the safety of large conferences to attend the site with the capabilities to spread live feeds from anywhere to other internal or external spaces or even as far as to contact delegates remotely. All buildings have various entrance points to ensure one-way systems are followed in a correct manner as well as large doors, windows and balconies to have natural air circulation.
We will restrain from having larger events take place across non ground floor areas to reduce the amount of traffic over lifts and stairs and have room dividers on offer to separate sections where required. New capacity information will be created for each space to demonstrate how room set ups can be set to ensure that social distancing measures are followed correctly based on the government guidelines at the time. Food and beverage offerings will also be based on what is approved by the government at that current time. Due to having in-house catering we have the capabilities to tailor needs to that specific event and recommend various options on how we can cater for delegates.
We are constantly monitoring the government guidelines and making sure we are working as effectively as possible to ensure we bring back all events to the racecourse in the most professional and safe way. We would like to thank everyone for their patience during this time and want to give you the reassurance to trust us as a venue with the new safe guiding measures now in place.
