As one of the country’s top racecourse’s, Newbury boasts with traditional heritage and modern style especially after the £50m redevelopment completed in 2019. Not only does Newbury Racecourse demonstrate the finest horse racing but also the range of diversity when holding outdoor events. With over 225 acres of outdoor grounds the world is your oyster as they say, with tarmac areas, woodland, the track, lawns, the Parade Ring and even the car parks…all accommodating for exciting events.
With the current climate, outdoor areas and events will be the first to return within this industry and Newbury Racecourse has created specific and precise procedures to which they have the capabilities to successfully hold a safe event. The expansive space on offer is perfect to implement effective social distancing and one-way systems as well increasing hygiene measures based on the events capacities and requirements. For 2020 we have introduced a new entertainment solution and partnering with Car Park Party to host an American-style drive through in the Centre of the Course where public can watch live Karaoke, Comedy and Theatre all from the comfort of their own cars adhering to the social distancing measures. This type of event is extremely unique and has been adapted for the current circumstances. Tickets are on sale now for all shows across the 24th & 25th of July here.
In addition to this event the Pub In The Paddock has now been launched as Newbury Racecourse’s new pop-up beer garden experience. Complying with social distancing rules and current government guidelines, the racecourse has put in place an offering allowing the public to reserve outdoor seating for up to 6, whilst hosting live sport including the Epsom Derby and selected Premier League Football matches on the big screen. In the past, the outdoor space has been used for various corporate and social events. Everything from the excitement of outdoor cinemas and colour paint obstacle courses, to large family fun days including fun fairs and glamping in the Centre of the Course…even blockbuster action films! We like to think we can cater for all requests; we are a flexible venue that is open to all the wonderful and wild events out there.
With the current climate constantly changing it is important to stay flexible as a venue and we are more than ready to assist with the diverse and different requests we may get as being safe, secure and aligned with government guidelines.
